EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulation)
What is an EMS treatment?
EMS stands for Electronic Muscle Stimulation. Similar to Emsculpt, it’s one of the quickest and easiest ways to build muscle in specific areas. Each treatment consist of 30 minutes. The treatment is non-invasive. It uses electromagnetic technology to induce thousands of muscle contractions equivalent to 20,000 squats or sit-ups.
Ideal candidates for this treatment are already close to their ideal weight and size. They are already living a healthier lifestyle (ie. regularly exercising and eating healthy). This treatment is meant to help out that stubborn area that doesn't seem to want to budge from your regular workouts.
EMS treatments contract 90% of your muscles versus the 20% to 30% that you can tone up during a gym session. The part of the body that was targeted will feel slightly tender afterwards, but the results won't be immediately noticeable. After your last session, you can expect to begin to see results in about two to four weeks. Results will continue to progress for up to six weeks after your last treatment. Results can last for 6 months to a year usually, but can last way longer if you continue to maintain a healthier lifestyle (ie. healthier eating choices, exercising regularly, etc). Follow up sessions can also be done every few months after you have completed your treatment to maintain results.
These EMS treatments can be done on the abdomen and butt. They are also a much more affordable alternative to Emsculpt treatments, which can range from $700-$1000 per session.
